Blizzard Blowout Tournament Results

Venom had a successful weekend at the Blizzard Blowout at the Pentagon. Although we didn’t bring any hardware home, we still placed 3 teams in the Finals and 2 teams were within 3 points from making it a clean 5-5 in finals participants. The 5th grade boys went 2-1, lost in the finals to a very good Rapid City team. 6th grade girls went 2-1 and missed the finals by a single point. 6th grade Grey went 1-2 but took a very good Avera Select Purple team down to the wire losing by 2 33-35 that would have set them up for a finals appearance. 7th Grade boys lost a heart breaker in overtime to Network in the Finals but played extremely well all weekend. 8th grade boys advanced to another finals, but came up short to a Pentagon team that had been gunning for a win against us after being on the losing end on multiple occasions. They had a perfect game plan that worked out well for them. All the final games were played on Heritage Court, a really fun experience! All in all Venom finished 9-6 on the weekend with 3 Finalists, a 3rd place and 4th place finishers. Most teams will be taking a little break now until February 3-4! Great job to all of our teams, coaches and our families. Thank you all for your support. You all continue to amaze me with your positive enthusiasm, support and passion for these great kids!
